Royal-Pedic has been handcrafting the Royal-Pedic All Cotton Mattress for over 70 years. It provides excellent orthopedic support, and is the mattress chosen by 6 former U.S. Presidents, including JFK who had back issues.
For a plush, yet still supportive feel add one of our 3″, 4″, or 5″ Pillowtop Pads to lay on the surface of the mattress, and you have a synergy combining luxurious surface comfort with great back support. The result is a level of firmness right in the middle – not too hard and not too soft for most people.
While this is our most popular mattress in general, it is especially liked by people who have bad backs because the mattress provides bouyant support and gives them the relief they need. Some people with back issues may want it without a pillowtop pad, or they may want to add the Royal-Pedic Pillowtop Pad, which gives them some extra surface plushness without sacrificing support.
The Royal-Pedic All Cotton Mattress with our Royal-Pedic or Royal Cloud Pillowtop Pads is usually the compromise when one partner is bigger and heavier and needs a supportive bed, while the other partner is lighter and wants it plush enough to be comfortable.
The Double Diamond Box Spring supports the mattress and provides an extra layer of suspension for increased comfort. The center-third of the box spring contains 50% more modules to add extra support where it’s needed the most. 5-Star hotel grade wide slatted wood frame provides greater durability.

Breathable All Cotton Covering
Luxurious all cotton fabric covering ventilates body heat to sleep more comfortably. The fabric is woven on precision computerized looms to exacting and consistent specifications.
Tufting pre-compresses the layers for orthopedic back support, and to minimize body impressions. Royal-Pedic has been hand tufting its mattresses since 1946. Real hand tufting with a long needle and British tufting straps is a hallmark of a hand crafted mattress.

Layers of Pristine Staple Cotton
– Cotton has been a friend to mankind for thousands of years. Cotton is natural, hypoallergenic, and breathes to ventilate body heat, so you can sleep more comfortably.
– The long staple cotton that we use in our mattresses is grown in California and Texas, and is of the highest grade – normally reserved for high end custom upholstered furniture.
– The cotton is converted into layers, pre-compressed, and when crafting the mattress, we skillfully hand tuft the cotton layers to provide stablity and consistent support.
- Quilted Support Layer Made with Organic Cotton
Staple cotton is specially quilted into a dense support pad, and positioned in the center third of the mattress for additional orthopedic support where it’s needed the most.

Hypoallergenic Insulator Pad
A thin, yet durable layer of odorless hypoallergenic polyester fiber is secured to the surface of the innerspring to provide support preventing the cotton layers from pocketing into the coils.

Royal Flex 800i Innerspring Unit
Precision Engineered in Switzerland, and made in the USA, our Royal-Flex mattress innerspring system is double heat tempered to provide lasting and consistent support. The Royal Flex features a double offset coil design with open ended unknotted 6-turn coils to provide greater sensitivity to body contours, and overall support. And made with upcycled steel to provide less impact on the environment.
T-Spring Side Supports are connected by hand equidistant around the perimeter of the Royal-Flex innerspring unit to heavy duty border wire for side to side sleeping comfort and support.
- Two Sided Construction for Longevity
Royal-Pedic mattresses are built with an equal amount of materials on each side of the mattress, so you can turn the mattress over and sleep on the other side.
Double Sided mattresses can enhance longevity. Mattresses that are no-flip designs, are only built with padding on one side, so you can’t flip it over.

Double Diamond Box Spring
Royal-Pedic’s Double Diamond Box Spring features 50% more modular supports in the center-third of the box spring unit where it’s needed most (over 60% of our body weight is located in our torso). The coil wire is our heavy duty 8 3/4 gauge as compared to 9 1/2 gauge as standard. Mounted on 5-Star hotel grade wide slat construction insures durability. Upholstered with the finest staple cotton padding, and heavy duty cotton fabric undercloth. Most box springs these days are foundations, which do not have give. Royal-Pedic box springs have flexiblity providing an extra layer of suspension for enhanced overall comfort.

To take comfort to the next level, add either the Royal Cloud 4″ or 5″ Pillowtop Pad to the Royal-Pedic All Cotton Mattress. With even more Talalay latex cushioning than the Royal-Pedic Pillowtop Pad, you can experience “Cloud Like” comfort, while still providing good back support.

Materials
PRISTINE LONG STAPLE COTTON
The cotton padding we use is of the highest grade from California and Texas, normally only used in custom made, high-end upholstered furniture. Using the longer cotton fibers blended together to make layers for the mattresses insures there will be a consistent, supportive sleeping surface so you won’t get lumps.
TALALAY LATEX
Our latex is harvested from sustainable rubber tree plantations in Indonesia and Malaysia. The natural latex is transported to a modern Talalay latex processing facility in The Netherlands where the milky white natural latex is converted into mattress cores, and slices for our pillowtop pads and mattresses in accordance with the strict Oeko-Tek European environmental standards. Latex is dust mite resistant, hypoallergenic, and anti-bacterial.
EXQUISITE COMFORT OF LAMB’S WOOL
The lamb’s wool from France provides a comforting natural fiber layer quilted underneath the cotton mattress covering. The lamb’s wool contains lanolin – a natural dust-mite repellent. The sheep live in wide open spaces, rather than being cooped up in a small space. The wool is cleaned in baking soda and water.

ROUND MATTRESSES
Here is a picture of of the 96”D Round Royal-Pedic Pillowtop Mattress manufactured for Marcia Mix Interiors. Her client lived in a New York hi-rise apartment on the 41st Floor. Amazingly, to get this mattress into the apartment, the outer window had to be removed and the mattress was hoised with a crane. The hoisting fee was $16,000!

Great for extra large bedrooms, and the desire for spacious comfort or if you are an athlete and just need more mattress space, our oversized mattresses are the answer. This is a picture of the (84” x 84”) Royal-Pedic All Cotton Mattress we manufactured for Ronald Reagan, President of the United States during his tenure as Governor of the state of California. Our oversized mattresses are also ideal for “Vegas” style ultra suites.
