This Euroline Series with squared lip is a versatile European style hood that can stand alone or be installed between cabinets. Heat lamps are not available on this model. Recommended mounting height is 24" from the cooking surface. Shown with matching wall mount duct cover [sold separately], available in standard sizes for 7', 8', and 9' ceiling heights or in custom sizes. All Vent-A-Hood products are suitable for use in damp locations [outdoor applications such as a covered patio] when installed in a GFCI protected branch circuit.

What our Experts Think
  • Balanced ducted ventilation — built to deliver effective extraction for everyday residential cooking with a 300 CFM blower (≈450 equivalent), capturing smoke, steam and odors when properly ducted outdoors. Recommended 6″ round ducting and ~24″ above the cooktop.

  • Euro style design — clean, squared‑lip canopy blends with contemporary kitchen aesthetics and can be installed between cabinets or standalone.

  • Quiet and efficient operation — ~5.4 sones at high speed balances airflow power with comfortable kitchen noise.

  • Integrated lighting — three built‑in lights illuminate the cooking area for improved visibility.

  • Fire‑safe and durable — centrifugal blower design helps contain grease and improves fire safety versus conventional filter systems.

  • Easy installation guidance — recommended wall‑mount height ~24″ from cooking surface; matching wall duct covers sold separately

Maintenance Tips
  • Weekly Exterior Cleaning – Wipe the stainless‑steel exterior with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid steel wool, abrasive pads, or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish.

  • Interior Grease Wipe‑Down – Clean the interior canopy and any grease collection areas periodically with a mild degreaser or dish soap to remove cooking oil buildup and maintain strong airflow.

  • Blower & Filter‑like Care – Although this model typically uses a Power Lung or Magic Lung blower system (filterless centrifugal design), periodically check and wipe blower housing and accessible fan components to prevent buildup that can reduce performance.

  • Light Maintenance – Turn off power and allow bulbs to cool before replacing; wipe light covers to maintain good illumination over the cooktop.

  • Annual Duct & Fan Inspection – Inspect ductwork and blower area at least once a year for grease or obstructions; clear debris to preserve suction efficiency and reduce fire risk.

  • Post‑Cooking Ventilation – Run the hood a few extra minutes after heavy cooking to help clear lingering steam, smoke, and odors before cleaning.

  • Professional Service When Needed – If airflow decreases significantly or unusual noises occur, have a qualified technician inspect and service the blower and electrical components
